The rules, step by step
Step 1
Each guest opens the game on their phone — a list of 25 prompts appears: 'find someone who has been to 5+ weddings', 'find someone who knew the bride before 2015'.
Step 2
Guests mingle and hunt for a person matching each prompt.
Step 3
When found, type that person's name next to the prompt — one name can't be reused twice.
Step 4
The game tracks completion; conversations are the actual point.
Step 5
First guest to fill every prompt (or the most at the time limit) wins.
Variations to try
- Printed mingle cards from the printable pack for phone-free crowds.
- Cross-family rule at joint showers: half your names must come from the OTHER side.
- Speed round — 10 prompts, 10 minutes, chaos.
Host tips
- Run it during arrivals — it converts awkward early mingling into a mission.
- Prompts are designed to force stories, not just signatures; encourage the stories.
- The winner announcement is a great segue into the first seated game.

Frequently asked questions
What's the ideal group size?
Ten to forty — below ten there aren't enough people to hunt; above forty it works as pure icebreaking without completion.
Can names repeat?
House rule: each guest's name may only be used once per card, which forces wider mingling.
Is there a paper version?
Yes — printable mingle cards are in the bundle for showers that prefer pens.
